Great funky ambiance. Bring earplugs if train horns bother you, otherwise it’s a very scenic spot to spend the night.

Tented here this summer with some friends! It was our first time at this spot and we were not disappointed! New owners took over between the time we booked our site and arrived for our stay and they were incredibly friendly and kind, could tell they took pride in looking after it and being helpful! We had a couple last minute changes with the number of vehicles our group was bringing and the new owner was very accommodating both with that and with the check-in/out process. The washrooms / shower facilities were modest but extremely clean, which we really appreciated. Even the little outhouse by our tenting spot actually had a flush toilet inside (so no gross outhouse/portaporty smell!!) and was cleaned at least daily, which made all the difference in the comfort of the experience! The lake was beautiful and the perfect temperature (in late July) we floated and were in the water all day long. Seriously, we could not get over how warm the water was considering its the mountains! The beach area is a bit rocky and firm, but we were prepared with beach chairs & a sturdy umbrella and spent most of the time floating in the gorgeous lake anyways so we didn't mind. Others have commented about the train, and we were surprised by how often it went by at first, but it didn’t bother us at all during the day and some good ear plugs solved the problem at night. (And to be fair, no one expects a great sleep when tenting anyways lol, even without a train) Also - i will take some train noise over obnoxious neighbours partying into the night, any day! Needless to say we really appreciated the atmosphere of this campground as well. It was peaceful and relaxed, but relaxed without being a free for all, they have very reasonable common sense rules about conduct & pets, so it obviously attracts the clientele to match - everyone was very respectful of each other and its clearly not a place where people come to get rowdy. A rare jewel!Overall, we were super happy with our stay and plan to return! Friendly & attentive staff, very clean facilities, peaceful atmosphere and an absolutely stunning view!

Back after 15 years!Stayed in the sanctuary suite. The picture of the place must have been taken awhile ago, needs a bit of work,The upstairs bedroom is amazing and the view is out of this world. We spent most of the time in that room looking out at the river canyon watching birds fish and a bald eagle just chillingThe suite is not secluded although the pictures make it look like it, there are camp spots all around the property. No beach access which is fine but just sayingUnder new management so I’m sure they have big plans for Reno’s etc…. And they were greatWould I go again? Naw I’m good with that trip and view. Time to try something else

Great place to go camping if you love swimming, seeing otters and beautiful mountains. Miraculously the water is turquoise but swimmable. The staff were super friendly and kept the place running well. My only annoyance was the main beach felt it needed a designated boat launch.

Amazing camping location. The new managers/owners are great, and very friendly. The RV park and cabins sit right next to the beautiful Kinbasket reservoir lake. You can't beat the hiking, swimming and tranquility of this place. Definitely a must see if you're a nature or camping enthusiast.
